Shudras are the lowest caste in the Hindu caste system. They belong to service class or slaves or practitioners of unskilled trades. In Modern India, they still face a great deal of discrimination from members of higher castes. The highest caste in Hindu caste system is Brahmins, who are teachers , priests, artists, etc. Even though Brahmins are considered to be highly educated people there were several saints that were born in the shudra castes.
